Does my Best Friend(Who is a guy) Like me?

Okay so this was the last year with my best friends(since were going to different high schools sadly) and I have one guy best friend among all my girl bestfriends. He only hangs out with us(our group has all girls) and we've known each other since 7th grade but we didn't become close until 8th grade. I was in love with this other guy for the whole 8th grade practically until my friends pointed out how much I talked about my guy best friend and what a jerk the guy I loved was. Long story short I found out that this whole time the guy I really wanted was right in front of me. The only catch here is that we all thought he was gay because he only hung out with us girls and never talked about who he liked. He also did things(like sound affects facial expressions etc) that didn't seem well something that a straight guy would do. Well my friends believe that he's liked me this whole year but kept it a secret because I was so obsessed with the guy I loved. Well according to them he would always stand close to me, listen to what I have to say before anybody else, always laughed at my jokes harder than necessary, stare at me(they apparently have caught him multiple times), gets bored if I am not there, and loves to be around me. I have never seen any of this so I don't really know what to believe..... Do you think he likes me? Should I make a move or leave it be? I don't want to ruin are friendship.....
