Why can't I upload a new skin to Minecraft.net?

Every time I try to input a new skin, it gives me an error, though I can clearly see my previously uploaded skin. It is not even an error, it simply says, "Something seems to have gone wrong. We'll have a tinker with it momentarily, please check back again later."
