Asked a girl out on text.. Help?

Ok, So ive been talking to this girl name Stephanie for about 2months now and we talk to each other everyday like 5-6hours and i we go to different schools but the only way i can see her is by going to my friend's house which is her brother, and the problem is i can't hang with her since her mom is over protective. I like this girl ALOT and im a shy guy, i always have myself waiting for the girl to ask me out but i didn't wana wait anymore so i asked my friend for help and he told me to text her(because since her mom is over protective i can't even talk to her or even say hi) but i told him that wouldn't it be better if i asked her out in person? and he said well do u wana do that in front of her mom? and i said ok fine.. so i asked her out in text but i later realized that i could of have asked her out on the phone or text her to meet me somewhere.. but ive already sended the text, and she hasn't replyed yet.. What do i do? how do i redo this and ask her out the right way?? plz help :(
